Throwing Gas on Fire

Well, I was watching this series called "The Scrub". Yes, I know it's an old TV show (the show went on the air on 2001-2010).

Carla: You know what your problem is?
Dr. Cox: There are times when I put myself into situ…
Carla: Oh my God, who answers that question? You see, *that* is your problem. You think you have the answers to everything, but instead you end up throwing gas on the fire, and everyone else has to pay the consequences.
Dr. Cox: That’s almost exactly what I was going to say.

Literally, Carla's in the quotes is the same as my opinion in my head right now. I have this friend that when things are going wrong, he tend to try and solve the problems any way he can, often leading to more problems. It's good that he TRY to solve the problems, but unfortunately, he is causing them to grow bigger, and make anyone else to pay the consequences. Maybe because he is lack of experiences? My friend and I TRY to advised that he could consult the problems to someone with more experience, and maybe we could accompany him, if he want. And, yeah, he said, "of course", but continue to act like it.
